The Railway Recruitment Board, Bhopal was established on 23.09.1982. In January 1985, Railway Service Commissions were renamed as Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and in the year 1998, all RRBs came under the control of the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB), which was set up in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) to coordinate and streamline the working of RRBs.

In the year July 2000, the RRB office was shifted from a rented accommodation at Machna Colony, Shivaji Nagar to East Railway Colony, Bhopal. Railway Recruitment Board, Bhopal directly recruits Technical and non-technical categories in Gr.'C' posts as well as Para medical posts on the basis of Indents received from Railways.

IR operates both long distance and suburban rail systems on a multi-gauge network of broad, metre and narrow gauges. It also owns locomotive and coach production facilities.

MLR Securities however has suggested it is research report dated 30th November that avoiding the issue would be a wise decision.

The Corporation looks forward to raising a sum to the tune of Rs. 1143.33-1185.7 crores at price band of Rs. 135 to Rs. 140 per share offering 8,46,90,730 equity shares through FPO.

According to MLR's report, the market is coming to around Rs. 6520 crores post issue on an upper price band of Rs. 140. The TTM P/E is estimated 9.8 which are quite fairly valued in comparison with Great Eastern Shipping while it is at a discount to Mercator Lines.

The P/BV comes to 0.98x its post issue book while Great Eastern Shipping and Mercator Lines are trading
at 1.1 and 1.3 times their FY10 BV.

The subdued outlook of the shipping sector in the wake of huge capex plans over the next two years gives ample reasons to the potential investors to avoid this issue.

The pressurizing margins leave very minuscule upside from the current levels until the arrival of new fleet under the aegis of SCI.

Manganese Ore India's (MOIL) Initial Public offering (IPO), with the aim of raising Rs 1,238 crore, has been subscribed 2.37 times on its second day. MOIL IPO was subscribed 0.76 times on Day 1.

MOIL IPO price band was declared between Rs. 340 – 375, and the IPO will open on November 26th 2010, and close on the December 1st 2010.

MOIL is a Mini – Ratna engaged in mining Manganese ore which is used for desulphurization and strengthening of steel, thus making it closely tied with the steel industry.

Of the total land based manganese ores in the world – South Africa accounts for a whopping 75% followed by Ukraine which has 10%, and then Australia and India which have 3% each.

The Indian manganese reserves are estimated at 378.6 million tonnes and Orissa has the bulk of them with 40% of the reserves, and Karnataka comes second at 22%.
