University of Calicut, the second university to be set up in Kerala, came into being in 1968 with the objective of developing human resources in the northern districts of Kerala by extending the reach of higher education and by promoting research in all areas of development with particular emphasis on technology and art and culture of Kerala.

The University made the beginning by taking into its fold the four postgraduate departments set up by the University of Kerala at Calicut and 54 constituent colleges spread across seven northern districts. With 'Nirmaya Karmana Sree' as it motto, the University has surmounted challenges to emerge as the largest residential cum affiliating University in Kerala. Its 31 post graduate departments and 304 affiliated colleges have now become a veritable light house beckoning lakhs of young men and women to benefit from higher education.

Central University of Rajasthan recruitment at www.curaj.ac.in

The recruitment notification of the Central University of Rajasthan has been published at the official website at http://www.curaj.ac.in/. The university has invited applications for the academic, administrative and non-teaching positions.

The CUR has the following vacancies in the university: assistant professor (22), associate professor (16), professor (7), controller of examination (1), finance officer (1), librarian (1), deputy registrar (1), including other positions.

Interested candidates have to apply for the vacant positions before 1st April and the print out of the application has to reach the university by 8th April. The Central University of Rajasthan is an educational institution in the state of Rajasthan, India, which was established in the year 2009.

The university is fully funded by the Government of India. The CUR was formed by an Act of the Parliament which was published on 20th March 2009. The Central Universities Bill 2009, aims at creating universities in the other states of the country also.

The Gujarat University was conceived in the nineteen twenties in the minds of public-spirited and learned men like Gandhiji, Sardar Patel, Acharya Anandshankar B. However, the University could come into existence only after the achievement of independence.In 1949, the University was incorporated under the Gujarat University Act of the State Government 'as a teaching and affiliating University.' The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) have announced the result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2010. UPSC Mains Result 2010 announced on 3rd March, 2011 on the official website at http://www.upsc.gov.in/.

The Main Examination, 2010 was held by the Union Public Service Commission in October – November, 2010.

The date and time of Personality Tests will be intimated to the qualified candidates individually and would also be displayed on Commission's Website http://www.upsc.gov.in. No change in the date and time intimated to the candidates will be allowed. In case the qualified candidates do not receive the letters for the Personality Test, they may contact the Commission immediately.
