Lemon Mobiles To Launch Budget 3G, Android Dual Sim HandsetsLemon Mobiles is quickly scaling up its product portfolio to offer consumer a greater choice of exciting devices at really affordable prices!

" We will be launching Android 1.6 phone in the ‘near future’, to be called the P1, where the ‘P’ stands for ‘Professional’.

The handset manufacturer that at present sources its handsets from China, will soon set up a manufacturing unit at Rourkee (Uttaranchal) strategies involve, setting up of a manufacturing plant in Rourkee, where the company will begin with assembling handsets and later start manufacturing cellphones here. Lemon Mobiles ventured into the handset space in October 2008 and has been making progress by leaps and bounds.

Desi phones have been taking on biggies like Nokia, in the Indian handsets space. Two-year old company Micromax has ranked the fourth largest player in the mobile handset segment. The company has designed a three-year game plan of investing $ 300 mn globally, as it plans to expand operations in Latin America and Africa. It will raise the funds through equity.

Lemon is set to launch an application store in 4-6 months. The store will offer a mix of free and paid applications. Lemon’s soon to be launched iQ 505 will be preloaded with "Lemon Twist", an application suite with a plethora of offerings. Lemon has partnered with various third party developers like Atom for m-Commerce, Mapmyindia for maps on mobile, Sanptu for social networking, Nimbuzz for online chat.

Currently, Lemon Mobiles has 300 service centres, the company also plans to strengthen its services profile. To the requirements of the upcoming technologies, Lemon will also be announcing 3G handsets. Sandeep Muhsran, director, Fastrack Communications, said."These handsets will be entry level 3G handsets and will be priced between Rs 3000-4000,"
