Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) issued Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) 2011 Examination Dates.

Applications are invited from diploma holders in various branches of engineering namely,civil/Electrical/mechnical(including automobile,pakaging technology,printing technology& footware technology)/computer engineering (including special diploma/special diploma in TV and sound technology)diploma in bio-medical Engineering (including special diploma/mining/chemical /ceramic technology/textile technology/leather technology/metallurgy/electronics and instrumentation /pharmacy and B.Sc grduates with mathsfor the Common Entrance test.

The Necessity Of Establishing A Stock Exchange In The Then East Pakistan Was First Decided By The Government When, Early In 1952.It Was Learnt That The Calcutta Stock Exchange Had Prohibited The Transactions In Pakistani Shares And Securities. The Provincial Industrial Advisory Council Soon Thereafter Set Up An Organizing Committee For The Formation Of A Stock Exchange In East Pakistan. A Decisive Step Was Taken The Second Meeting Of The Organizing Committee Held On The 13th March ,1953. In The Cabinet Room, Eden Building ,Under The Chairmanship Of Mr. A . Khaleeli, Secretary Government Of East Bengal , Commerce, Labor And Industries Department At Which Various Aspects Of The Issue Were Discussed In Detail. The Then Central Governments Proposal Regarding The Karachi Stock Exchange Opening A Branch At Dhaka. , Did Not Find Favour With The Meeting Who Felt That East Pakistan Should Have An Independent Stock Exchange . It Was Suggested That Dhaka Narayanganj Chamber Of Commerce & Industry Should Approach Its Members For Parchase Of Membership Cards At RS.2000 Each For The Proposed Stock Exchange. The Location Of The Exchange It Was Thought Should Be Either Dhaka Narayanganj Or Chittagong

Gulbarga University was established in 1980 by an Act of Karnataka State. Its jurisdiction extends to the five districts of Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, Bellary and Koppal of Hyderabad Karnataka. Earlier it was a post-graduate centre of Karnatak University, Dharwad since 1970. The main campus is situated on a 860 acres of land, 6 kilo meters east of Gulbarga city. It has 38 post-graduate departments and 4 post-graduate centres located at Krishnadevarayanagar, Bellary, Raichur and Bidar. Another post-graduate centre at Basavakalyan is on the anvil. The University enrols about 3500 students every year for various post-graduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in various disciplines. There are about 160 faculty members and about 700 technical and non-technical supporting staff. There are 305 colleges affiliated to this University which enrol graduate/diploma courses in arts, fine arts, music, social sciences, science & technology, commerce, education and law.

Highlights of Budget 2011 on Tax

Highlights of Union Budget 2011-12 are as follows:

Removal of supply bottlenecks in food sector in focus in 2011-12

Interest subvention on housing loans eligibility relaxed

Extension of NBS to cover urea under consideration

Rs 100 crore equity funds for microfinance companies

Private investment in Agro Processing should increase

Banks have been asked to increase lending to farmers

Propose to provide Rs 6000 crore for PSU bank recapitalization

Rs 6,000 crore to be given to public sector banks to maintain capital-to-risk assets ratio norms

Government plans to create a Women Self Help Group development fund with a corpus of Rs 500 crore

Allocation under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana to be raised from Rs 6755 crore in the current year to Rs 7860 crore

Rs 300 crore provided to promote pulses cultivation in rain-fed areas

Government proposes to promote organic farming methods to enable farmers get best from their land

Government to boost infra development proposes tax-free bonds of 300 billion rupees

Three percent interest subsidy to farmers in 2011-12

Existing interest subvention scheme on short term farm loans at seven per cent interest to continue (ANI)
