BSNL Introduces Usage Of Multiple Boosters In 2G services

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced usage of multiple Boosters for its 2G GSM Mobile service subscribers in Tamilnadu Circle. Now Bsnl prepaid subscriber are allowed to use more than one booster at a time to get more benefits of special tariff Vouchers as their needs.

The Operator has been grouped all Boosters /STVs into 4 different groups, Namely, Group-1- General, Group-II Local/ STD, Group-III – SMS, Group-IV – GPRS.

BSNL 2G prepaid customer can use maximum of 4 boosters simultaneously, i.e., one booster from each group at the same time.

Samsung Launches Two New SmartPhone Wave and Galaxy S In India

Telenor Selects Tata Consultancy to Modernise its IT

India’s leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm Tata Consultancy Services today announced that it has signed a multi-year outsourcing contract with Telenor to modernize its Telecom IT application portfolio in Norway.

The TCS-Telenor contract comprises application maintenance and development services and will involve a modernization of Telenor's Norway's application portfolio across its OSS, Fixed, Mobile, Datawarehouse and Accounting system domains.

The contract reinforces TCS leadership position in the Nordic market. Recently, TCS had been ranked as the number one service provider in the Nordic region by an EquaTerra survey in which leading CIOs and CXOs in the Nordic region.

Commenting on the association with TCS, Mr. Ragnar Kårhus, CEO of Telenor Norway said “By implementing this measure we are making the necessary adaptations to provide our customers with improved and more innovative services in relation to capacity, speed and stability, as well as better quality in both voice and data, and to facilitate current demands for accessibility.’

BSNL Launches 3G Mobile and Data Services in Raipur (Chhattisgarh)

India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced the of its 3G GSM mobile and High Speed Wireless Internet services (Data services) in Raipur city of Chhittisgarh telecom circle.

Speaking on the launch of BSNL 3G services in Raipur, Mr. Ram Yagya, Chief General Manager, BSNL Chhattisgarh circle said "The next generation 3G mobile and data service is now available to all BSNL postpaid and prepaid 2G subscribers in Raipur city.”

He also added that “BSNL will expands the 3G services in other parts of the state shortly. BSNL subscriber can enjoy local and STD Video call just at 30 paisa per minute with our 3G services. He also assure that the BSNL will do the best to provide uninterrupted 3G Mobile and data services.”

To avail the 3G mobile and data services, existing BSNL 2G Prepaid customers can recharge with a Special tariff Voucher (STV) of Rs.21 or just send SMS, 'ACT3G' to 53733 following which Rs.21 will deducted from their balance and they will be migrated to 3G for a period of 30 days. These migrated customers can experience Video Calling, High Speed Internet, Mobile TV etc at 3G charges while retaining their 2G Voice Plan.

BSNL 2G Postpaid customers have to pay additional Rs.25 only per month as add-on rental to avail 3G services over and above their 2G services. The existing 2G Postpaid customers can also send SMS, 'ACT3G' to 53733. They can also approach customer service centres to subscribe 3G services .

BSNL offers Video calling, High Speed Internet with download speed up to 3.6 Mbps, and entertainment through 'BSNL Live' WAP portal containing rich contents like movies Music, Mobile TV, Video, Wall Paper, Ring Tone etc are immediately available on launch of 3G services.

BSNL also offers high-speed mobile Internet access for PCs and Laptops through the USB Datacard subscription which comes with free all India roaming including Mumbai & Delhi MTNL service area. The convenient 3G data plans starts from Rs.249 to Rs.2499 are available with both Postpaid & Prepaid options.To give the customers firsthand experience of 3G, Trial Packs have also been launched. As an introductory offer, local and national video calls from home LSA will be charged at 30paisa per minute.

BSNL 3G prepaid SIM Card cost Rs.20 and as an introductory offer the new subscribers will get 200 free video calls, 200 MB Data usage and 2000 Free SMS for 30 days. Beyond free usage Local and STD Video calls will cost just 30 paisa per minute for first 90 days from the date of activation.

Videocon Mobile Services, today launched a new Special tariff voucher for the Customers in Tamil Nadu which is priced at Rs 42.
