Future Group Will Launch ‘T24′ GSM Mobile Services in 140 Cities

Tata Teleservices Limited, the country's youngest and fastest-growing pan-India dual-technology telecom operator, and Indian retail giant Future Group today announced that they will launch GSM mobile telephony services in over 75 cities and 65 rural destinations under the brand name T24.

As earlier we shared on TelecomTalk, the exciting new T24 GSM service was commercially launched by TTSL Managing Director Anil Sardana and Future Group Chief Executive Officer Kishore Biyani in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh).

The T24 mobile telephony service will be sold through Future Group's extensive retail footprint across the country, beginning with Andhra Pradesh. It will be progressively rolled out across the country in the next couple of months, through Future Group's retail networks in over 75 cities and 65 rural destinations.

Watch Live Asia Cup Cricket Match on MTNL Mobile At Rs.10

India’s first 3G GSM Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced the launch of  ”Asia Cup-2010 Cricket Match LIVE service” on Mobile phones for its Dolphin and Trump subscribers in Mumbai telecom circle.

By using this service, MTNL’s postpaid and prepaid subscribers will be able to view all 7 cricket matches LIVE on their mobile phone just at Rs.10 per  match. The operator also allow to access all 40 TV channels including the Asia Cup tournament just at Rs. 150 per month without any hidden data charges for Live TV service.

MTNL brings the Asia Cup-2010 Cricket tournament on Mobile in a very simple, affordable and easy way. It is required only for just Downloading the Mobile TV application through PC or GPRS enabled MTNL Mobile Phone. There is no any other setting is required in the handset to watch the Live Cricket Match or TV on Mobile.

MTNL has already launched LIVE TV wherein customers are able to access 40 channels. For these existing customers, their client shall automatically get updated and they will see an icon of ASIA CUP-2010 on their Main menu. All the MTNL Mobile customers having GPRS and 3G compatible handsets shall be able to view these LIVE matches.

How to download and Install MTNL Mobile TV application:

From PC/Laptop:-

Visit http://59.162.166.215:8080/OTA/mobiletv.sisx and download Mobile TV client on Laptop/PC and then transfer to mobile using Bluetooth or data cable.

From MTNL Dolphin/Trump Mobile Phone:-

Customers can send SMS "MOBILETV" to 53388 and a link will be sent. The customer can click on the link and download the application. OR Visit from mobile: http://59.162.166.215:8080/OTA/DownloadMTNLMUMBAITV
These links will also be available in MTNL GPRS-WAP Portal http://wap.mtnlmumbai.in.

The application will be downloaded in his/her phone memory or memory card. MTNL MobileTV folder will be installed in the main menu or any other place depending on the handset model.

Selecting the Bandwidth (3G/2G EDGE) -:There is option of selecting bandwidth in the application. If the customer is in 2G area he should select 2G in application. Similarly if he is in 3G area he has to select 3G in application. In 2G/EDGE mode the Mobile TV will play in “store and play” mode while in 3G mode the TV will play continuously as LIVE.

How to subscribe for the service-:

After Downloading the Application, when customer opens MTNL folder from the Main menu, he/she can view the channel list. On clicking on Any channel, packages will be shown to the customer.
On clicking on the ASIA CUP-2010 icon, customer can subscribe for per day or full month as their own choice.
After registration is successful, a confirmation SMS will be sent. Asia Cup-2010 matches LIVE on his handset can be viewed.

How to use the Service-:

Open the application, select the ‘ASIA CUP’ icon and click on it. After buffering for a few seconds the channel will start playing Live.To display in full screen mode in some handsets like Nokia press the center button.
